POWER_OF_CIRCLE_TITLE.jpg

Airports are part of modern international transportation. They are knots who connect the world, but they can be the reason for anxieties and panic attacks. They are not designed with the passenger in mind to create a better experience for the passenger. They are megastructures, non-places built for-profit and business in mind, mega malls. In Brazil, by 2030, all airports are expected to be operating at full capacity, generating a need for newer and larger structures, especially in the city of São Paulo, which is the biggest city in the country and a hub for international flights. This project studies the passenger psychology and how new airports are not creating better ways to address these issues. The concept is a circle as a healer, a new airport designed with a circular plan and design features, creating a seamless connection between arrival and departure. At the center of the circle hosts an example of the Amazon rainforest, where passengers can experience nature while waiting for a flight and bringing visitors for the day.
